LKs full-hole threading die collar is designed to externally engage a tubular fish by tapping onto its external upset, coupling, tool joint and retrieve drill pipes, tubing or casing during fishing operations in a well.
Being a tube section made out of forged alloy steel, the die collar has box thread at its upper end and carburized V-shaped internal fishing thread with ¾”TPF(1:16) and flutes, designed to flush out the cuttings while engaging the fish, at its lower end. Optionally LKs die collar can be furnished with a guide.
The die collar is available in right- and left-hand configuration. The right-hand die collar is used to retrieve all remaining tubes at once; the left-hand one is used for fragmentary retrieval of the fish, by breaking out the fish string.
Due to its full-hole bore, the die collar can engage the fish father away from the top, i.e. coupling, tool joint, external upset.
