YaG hydraulic jar provides repeated separate upward impact forces during stuck-related remediation.
The hydraulic jar consists of a housing, a rod, a sub, a piston and a set of sealing elements. The rod is connected to the sub, having box tool joint, at its upper end, and to the anvil at its lower end. The housing is comprised of three components that are thread interconnected. Torque transmission is due to interaction between hexagon-shaped slots at the upper housing ID and counterpart hexagonal rod.
Fluid flows through grooves in middle housing, being in contact with the piston. The lower housing ends with a pin. Inner chamber of the hydraulic jar is filled with special oil. All connections are packed off with sealing rings. Hydraulic jar is charged with the oil through a plugged port in the housings.
