Application

MLG non-threading releasable taper tap is designed to internally engage and retrieve tubular fish in a well. 

Design

The taper tap is a steel tube of 0°30` at the lower end and tool joint thread at the upper end. 
It has a watercourse for fluid circulation. 
If required, the fish can be released from the taper tap by applying load 25-50% higher than one used for engagement. The taper angle of the taper tap ranges from 0º 30´ to 5º.
The non-threading releasable taper tap is made of 40HN steel grade and heat treated.
Other sizes and left/right-hand configuration are available upon request.
