Application

Run in conjunction with coiled tubing, FK-TL hardfaced washover mill with a junk catcher mills frac ports and retrieves port incorporated balls during intervention in oil, gas and exploratory wells. 

Design

The mill consists of a body made of high-strength alloy steel and cutting-grinding braze of crushed tungsten carbided imbedded in resilient nickel/brass matrix. The body OD is hardfaced with hard-alloy inserts to enhance wear resistance of the body. Junk catcher comprises a magnet and cable catcher that preclude ball from falling off during trip out. The mill has a thread connection at the upper end, circulation ports and relevant watercourses at the lower end and flanks for better cooling and more efficient cuttings removal.
