KS drain sub provides means of draining or circulating through the fishing string (equipped with a die collar, an overshot or a packed-off spear) when pulling out of the hole where the string is unable to drain or be circulated normally.
The drain valve consists of a high-alloy steel body with tool joint, two shear brass pins and an internal perforated screen.
The valve activates after mechanical rupture of the shear pin with a rod dropped down.
The screen is located inside the valve body and has four 15 mm orifices. It prevents the rod from falling out to the bottom of the wellbore.
Replace shear pins with the new ones after retrieval.
