Application

SHMU-V Venturi Junk Basket is used for debris removal from the wellbore. When fluid is pumped through the coiled tubing and out through the nozzles in the Venturi chamber, a vacuum is created in the Venturi chamber, that sucks in fluid and junk into the bottom part of the tool.
Due to Venturi effect, the tool can operate in any hole size. The tool can be used in fluid or nitrogenated fluids. It can be utilized separately or in conjunction with mud motor.

Design

Junk container with screen is located between Venturi chamber and junk catchers. The catchers prevent junk from falling out, and container precludes debris from blocking ports. Barrel extensions are available to increase the volume of junk that may be carried. Standard volume is 0.54l. The tool is supplied with 12 nozzles (blank, Ø3 mm, Ø4 mm, Ø5 mm). The nozzles in the tool may be changed out for available flow rate and pressure. The guide at the bottom can be dressed with tungsten carbide for milling and washout operations.
